The Computational Science Center at BNL pursues research in advanced scientific computing and its application to biology, nanoscience, climate modeling, fluid dynamics, nuclear and high energy physics. In partnership with Stony Brook University, the New York Center for Computational Sciences owns and operates a 128 teraflops IBM Blue Gene/L,P system. BNL is the primary facility in the US for the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.
